All of the hand-picked Christmas trees available at our Christmas tree lot, right here at Oakdale Greenhouses, are ready to go.  The Christmas tree farms that provide us with the top-grade Frasier firs have put a lot of time and care into making sure that these holiday trees last long and stay fresh and green.  When picking a Christmas tree check the vitality by breaking off a few needles.  If they are nice and green, fragrant, and moist, and don’t fall off when you brush against the tree, then you have found a well-cared for Christmas tree.

To care for your Christmas tree, once you’ve taken it home and placed it where you want it, just follow these simple steps:  1)  Plenty of water!  Keep the water -level (in the tree stand) up to the base of the tree.  No additives are required.  Keeping the temperature cool in the room where your Christmas tree stands is also suggested.  2)  Cut off the Christmas tree lights before retiring in the evenings.
